A Garden, Grown with Imagination

I have always loved flowers. Long before I knew what to do with that love, I dreamed of a farmhouse with an English garden, something wild and full and alive. I never imagined that dream would carry me to a quaint little town in Washington. But some things have a gravitational pull you simply can't argue with.

So here I am.

Dahlias, I've come to understand, are not just pretty things. They are the output of love, determination, failure, investment, of life itself. They ask everything of you and give it all back in color. I have always been drawn to beautiful things, and to be the person who puts something extraordinary into your hands, something you get to grow yourself, brings me a joy I truly cannot put into words.

Each variety I've cultivated carries a little piece of me. Some were developed on days I felt defeated. Others on days I felt unstoppable. And somehow, the end result is always astonishing, a quiet reminder that even when I feel alone, something in the background is carrying me through.

Storybook Flowers was born from the two things that carried me away from life's heaviness: books and flowers. Together, they have always had the power to transport me, to somewhere softer, more hopeful, more possible.

My vision is to one day offer dahlia varieties named for the books and characters that left impressions on me. The ones that gave me hope when I needed it most. When that day comes, planting one won't just be growing a dahlia, it will be growing a story. One with roots, resilience, and a bloom worth waiting for.

This is my garden. And I'm so glad you wandered into it.
